Senior Technical and Solution Specialist / Senior Techno Commercial Manager (m/f)

This role will primarily position Avnet’s IoTConnect platform, PartnerProgram and AI services across Europe.  Technical sales and solution specialist will work with customers and partners, leading them through planning, prioritization and adoption of complex IoT transformation initiatives, while collaborating with relevant Sales and Service Teams. Take ownership of end-to-end sales cycle, participating in events, arranging workshops and regular training in order to create a good pipeline & meet targets.


Your Tasks:

  • Work with internal sales team across various Avnet entities such as Silica, EBV Elektronik, AIS & Abacus with a focus on promoting Avnet’s IoTConnect platform & solutions.
  • Train sales team members on Avnet’s latest offerings related to IoTConnect and PartnerProgram
  • Work with Avnet partners and educate them about PartnerProgram to increase IoTConnect’s reach.
  • Engage with customers across EU to identify areas of transformation through IoT solutions, envision and articulate potential business solutions and value propositions to the customers
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with customers/prospects to understand and align with their needs & business challenges.
  • Sizing of solution components, working out costing, deriving key commercial matrices and contributing to pricing strategies.
  • Bidding and negotiating with customers on business proposals submitted
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the IoT business applications and accelerated frameworks available within the Avnet’s IoTConnect suite across various Industry verticals 
  • Managing existing relationships for growth through valued account management and up-selling new solutions
  • Maintaining a robust pipeline for future sales by sourcing new prospects as well as qualifying inbound leads for conversion
  • Accurately maintaining and developing prospect/client data via CRM.
  • Attending conferences and events with the aim of developing new business and supporting existing clients
  • Co-ordinate with offshore teams to build marketing collaterals, create social media strategy and run engagement studios
  • Create a partner network of System Integrators within Europe via Avnet PartnerProgram, that can help build diverse SaaS solution portfolio on top of Avnet’s IoTConnect


  • Must have a detailed knowledge of Avnet’s IoTConnect platform & PartnerProgram.
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of Softweb’s SIA platform, IoTConnect based accelerated frameworks, SaaS solutions & portfolio
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep understanding of IoT & AI market in Europe
  • Ability to create and run various marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools
