Team Leader - Sales Development Engineers

Manages and leads a Sales team. Communicates company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provides help to the management, including hiring and training and keeps management updated on team performance. Communicates concerns and policies.
The Team of Sales Development Engineers is accountable for fielding, identifying and converting new customer and new project opportunities for the sales organization.Customer engagement is of key importance, alongside an ability to utilize technical sales knowledge to build a pipeline, generate growth and maximize customer relationships. Maximizing sales and revenue opportunities through B2B relationship building is a key focus.



  • Lead a team incl hiring process and new team member training
  • Helps team members with problems and oversees work of the team for quality and compliance
  • Manage inbound customer calls and email queries to problem solve, sell
    and support as required
  • Liaise with customers identified from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s)
    and provide an exemplary level of service
  • Have a strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and
    engage in sales generation activities
  • Forecast and create a well-qualified pipeline of sales opportunities to
    build upon – takes responsibility for managing personal lead queues and demonstrate a proactive outlook
  • Work with Customer Services to resolve customer issues and provide
    technical advice
  • Understand, evaluate and apply technical information to customer
    requirements and provide an innovative approach to develop prospect

  • Team management experience for a sales team
  • Engineering or Physics background
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of electronics is essential
  • High level programming languages would be desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills, advantageous are German/French skills
  • Exhibit a pro-active, can do attitude
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
