Manager, EMEA (m/f/d)
For our Corporate Accounting Department, located in Poing near Munich we are looking for you –
The Business & Financial Controls Manager EMEA Reports to the Director, Global Business and Financial Controls and will be supporting the 2nd Line of Defense by providing guidance to regional management US GAAP financial accounting and supporting Sarbanes-Oxley business risks, processes and controls. Collaborates with our mid-level and executive management as well internal and external audit functions. Drive efficient and effective of internal controls through increased use of technology, focus on key risks, and supporting current initiatives such as SAP GRC enablement, RPA, SDLC processes, and other on-going projects.

Your profile: 

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge and significant experience of US GAAP technical accounting standards, principles, concepts and techniques
  • Experience of working in a rapid, fast-moving environment, which is both complex and changing
  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to manage, respond efficiently and effectively to time critical issues with competing / conflicting priorities
  • Time management, prioritization, and organiza-tional skills; ability to prioritize among demanding and sometimes conflicting requirements
  • Self-starter who can develop effective networks with internal and external customers
  • Self-directed and action oriented with attention to details Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication (English) and inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Flexible to travel within EMEA

Your tasks:

  • Assisting management in design and development of processes and controls to manage key financial risks, primarily in the SOX domain
  • Defining activities to monitor and how to measure success as compared to management expectations.
  • Monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control activities.
  • Assessing current environment within defined risk management frameworks.
  • Identifying and monitoring known and emerging issues affecting the organization’s risks and controls.
  • Identifying shifts in the organization’s implicit risk appetite and risk tolerance.
  • Providing guidance and training related to risk management and control processes.
  • Act as administrative function over internal control language and managing repository for control documentation
  • Act as key point of contact for regional internal/external audit.
  • Other accounting/reporting functions as needed.
