Business Development Manager Automotive (m/w)
For our Avnet Silica Automotive team in Poing / Munich we are looking for you:



  • Drive and execute the Go-To-Market-Plan for the agreed End Market and Sub Segments.
  • Collaborate with the related Vertical Sales Team to implement the plan at target customers.        
  • Further extend or build-up sustainable partnerships with key decision makers at target customers.
  • Drive & align the activities with Sales. Joint customer visits to drive the strategic approach.
  • Active generation and tracking of project business based on given Sub Segments.
  • Structured reporting and documentation of all business-relevant, customer and project-related processes and changes.             
  • Work out potential solutions for the relevant Sub Segments in close cooperation with the Specialist and Technology Team.
  • Align with the Supplier Development Team on the Supplier Focus.
  • Implement possible solutions which are available at Avnet or need to be developed by 3rd Parties (in close cooperation with the Manager 3rd Party Development).
  • Providing Biz Cases and ROI analysis in coop with Technical Marketing &Vertical Sales.
  • Identification and support of the best technical and economical solutions for customer and Avnet Silica.
  • Daily Support Automotive Sales in as the technical & commercial Automotive Expert.
  • Further develop the target customers base (Customer Explorer) in alignment with Market Segment Manager and Vertical Sales.   
  • Active contribution and realization of promotion activities.
  • Build up or extend relationships to key decision makers in the relevant End Markets/Sub Segments. Understanding the Macro Environment and the ECO-System.
  • Sharing best practice and success stories. Providing technical articles / interviews.
  • Identify new and fast growing markets which Avnet Silica should invest on.
  • Develop further and align the Go-To-Market-Strategy and Investment Plan with Market Segment Manager and Vertical Management.
  • Participation on fairs and seminars to understand market developments


  • Engineering degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc or equivalent)
  • 5 + years' experience preferably within a sales and development driven environment in the electronics and semiconductors industry
  • 3 + years' experience in a technical support role (FAE) or R&D role (preferrably software and hardware related
  • Semiconductors product and hardware/software engineering in-depth knowledge                              
  • Strong relationship attitude at all levels       
  • Excellent facilitation abilities (presentations, meetings, workshops, etc.) and communication skills  
  • Good verbal and written English                  
  • Skilled in using MS Office, Project Management tools and SAP based design registration module
  • Willingness to travel
